Hwasa Set for Solo Comeback on September 6th: First Move Since Joining P NATION
MAMAMOO's Hwasa is gearing up for a solo comeback, promising a refreshing transformation. On the 29th, her agency P NATION unveiled a new teaser image for Hwasa's comeback scheduled for September 6th through their official social media channels.
In the released photo, Hwasa is surrounded by pink balloons, exuding a fresh yet captivating aura. Her radiant appearance captures the attention of viewers. The balloons filling the space, adorned with alphabets, spark curiosity about their connection to the upcoming release.
This comeback marks Hwasa's first album release in nearly two years since her 2021 single 'Guilty Pleasure'. It's also her inaugural album since joining P NATION, led by PSY, this past June.
Debuting in 2014 with the group MAMAMOO, Hwasa has contributed to numerous hit tracks such as 'Mr. Ambiguous', 'Um Oh Ah Yeh', 'You're the Best', 'Decalcomanie', 'Yes I am', and 'Starry Night'. Alongside her group activities, Hwasa ventured as a solo artist, releasing the single 'Twit' in 2019. In 2020, she unveiled her first solo mini-album 'Maria', with its title track topping music charts. Moreover, 'Maria' surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, earning a platinum certification from the Gaon Chart. Hwasa's outstanding achievements also include winning the Digital Music Division award at the '35th Golden Disc Awards' and the Best Solo Performance at the '2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards'.
