Yeo Jin Goo And Shin Ha Kyun To Star In An Upcoming Psychological Thriller Drama
The forthcoming JTBC series 'Monster' (working title) is set to showcase Yeo Jin Goo and Shin Ha Kyun as its main leads.
'Monster 'marks Yeo Jin Goo's first drama starring after tvN's 'Hotel Del Luna.' His new drama is a psychological thriller about two individuals prepared to break the rules and the regulations in their hunt of a serial murderer.
In order to discover the identity of the murderer, the main stars must take a closer look at the secret aspects of the individuals engaged in the case, continually asking themselves, "Who is the monster is it you? Me? Is that us?"
Shin Ha Kyun will appear in the drama as the volatile Lee Dong Shik, a former policeman who has since been ousted from a local police department to do menial tasks. Quiet life spins out of control when Han Joo Won, an extremely competent investigator who seems to have everything (performed by Yeo Jin Goo), becomes his companion — and when an occurrence resembles 20 years ago from a serial killer crime shakes up their town.
Explaining why he selected the drama for his next venture, Yeo Jin Goo commented, "I was attracted to the distinctive feeling that separates 'Monster' from other suspense style dramas, realistic roles, and the plot emotions. Through Han Joo Won's personality, I will show spectators a different side of myself, so I'm eagerly looking forward to this one." (via Soompi)
Shin Ha Kyun also commented that he was intrigued by the drama's script and the characters present in the story. He assured the fans and the spectators of the series that he will work hard to contribute to the film's production team, his co-actors, and the drama's outcome. He concluded by asking the fans their support and anticipation for their project.
'Monster' is reportedly scheduled for premiere in the first quarter of 2021.
