BTS's Suga Lights Up Jakarta with Brilliant Performances Kicking Off 'D-DAY' Asia Tour
BTS's Suga has painted Jakarta with spectacular colors.
From May 26 to 28, Suga held the 'SUGA | Agust D TOUR 'D-DAY'' at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD) Hall 5-6 in Jakarta, Indonesia. With each of the three performances sold out, drawing over 30,000 spectators in total, this concert marked the beginning of his Asian leg of the world tour.
During his performance in Jakarta, Suga unveiled the history of the Agust D trilogy, starting with the title track 'Haegeum' from his solo album 'D-DAY,' followed by the previous mixtape title tracks 'Daechwita' and 'Agust D.'
Suga, who put on a show encompassing both his BTS persona and his alternate identity Agust D, particularly connected with his audience through unique charms, including the acoustically arranged 'Trivia: Seesaw' and 'Life Goes On' accompanied by piano.
The captivating stage composition and direction, along with well-placed VCRs, enhanced the spectacle and increased audience engagement. Suga demonstrated his expertise as a seasoned performer with his stable live performances and savvy stage manners.
Upon finishing his performance in Jakarta, Suga shared his thoughts, "It feels really good to be back in Jakarta after five years. I really missed you all and I hope you take away only happy memories. Thank you for enjoying the show. This isn't the end. I will continue to perform for a long, long time. Thank you and I love you."
Meanwhile, Suga will continue his world tour with performances in Kanagawa, Japan from June 2nd to 4th, Bangkok, Thailand from the 9th to 11th, Singapore from the 16th to 18th, and Seoul from the 24th to 25th.
