BLACKPINK Sets its Sights on Global Gaming Industry: Singing OSTs and Unveiling MVs
BLACKPINK (Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo) is taking aim at the global gaming industry.
According to their agency, YG Entertainment, on May 15 (KST), a new mobile game based on BLACKPINK's IP, 'BLACKPINK The Game,' will be launched on May 18.
'BLACKPINK The Game' invites players to become the producer for BLACKPINK within a multiverse world, growing and managing the members. It offers a variety of modes, such as training and managing a company simulation, solving puzzles using photo cards, and customizing BLACKPINK avatars in your own style.
Before its release, the game's teaser has been broadcast in major cities around the world, including Seoul, New York, Bangkok, Paris, and Tokyo, fueling anticipation. The game is further amping up global fans' interest with the promise of exclusive BLACKPINK content that can only be encountered within the game.
YG Entertainment said, "BLACKPINK has been involved in the production of this project for a long time to communicate more closely with global fans, and it's finally being revealed."
They added, "We plan to sequentially unveil a game OST sung by the members themselves and a music video, so we ask for your interest and support."
'BLACKPINK The Game' is currently taking pre-orders on the official website and on both major mobile markets, Google Play and Apple App Store.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is holding the largest scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK],' mobilizing approximately 1.5 million people. Following a successful Asian tour, they are preparing for stadium performances in four cities in North America and Paris, France.
In July, they will perform as the first K-pop artist headliner at the British music festival 'Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival.'
