BLACKPINK's Jisoo Shines at No. 2 on Both Billboard Global Charts with Solo Debut 'FLOWER'
BLACKPINK's Jisoo has achieved her first solo top 10 hits on Billboard's Global charts with her debut single "FLOWER."
On April 10, Billboard revealed the top 10 rankings for the latest Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts (for the week of April 15). Jisoo's solo debut track "FLOWER" secured the No. 2 spot on both charts, making her the third BLACKPINK member to earn a top 10 solo hit on each chart.
Launched in September 2020, both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales data collected from over 200 territories worldwide. While the Global 200 includes data from all territories, the Global Excl. U.S. chart excludes data from the United States.
On the Global 200 chart, Jisoo's "FLOWER" claimed the No. 2 position with 108.7 million streams and 21,000 sales worldwide during its first week of release, from March 31 to April 6. The streaming count for "FLOWER" is the third-highest for an artist's debut focus track since the inception of both Global charts, surpassed only by Lisa's "Lalisa" (152.6 million) and Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" (130.1 million).
For the tracking week of March 31 to April 6, "FLOWER" recorded 103.3 million streams and 16,000 sales outside the United States, leading to a remarkable No. 2 debut on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
In 2021, BLACKPINK achieved top 10 solo hits on the Global 200 with Rosé's "On the Ground" at No. 1 and Lisa's "Lalisa" at No. 2. The same rankings were achieved on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with Lisa's "Money" also reaching No. 7. (Jennie's "Solo" was released in December 2018, before the launch of Billboard's Global charts.)
With this accomplishment, Jisoo joins her fellow BLACKPINK members in making a significant impact on the global music scene. The group's solo success demonstrates their individual talents and further solidifies their position as international music icons.
Fans of BLACKPINK and Jisoo will undoubtedly be thrilled with her success on the Billboard Global charts and look forward to more achievements in the future. As Jisoo continues to promote her solo debut, she carries the support and admiration of her fans and the music industry as a whole.
