Popular South Korean actors Park Shin Hye and husband Choi Tae Joon have become new parents, welcoming their first child on Tuesday. The actress delivered a healthy baby boy at a hospital in the South Korean capital city of Seoul on Tuesday, May 31.

Both mother and newborn are in good health, the good news was shared by Salt Entertainment, Shin Hye's management agency. As per a report, the agency also conveyed gratitude to the fans of the couple for their support.

The official statement released by the agency said that Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy boy on May 31 at a hospital in Seoul. At present, both the actress and the baby boy were in good health and resting well with Choi Tae Joon, and the couple's family and friends.

The agency also shared that they wanted to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the fans who sent their congratulations. They also asked everyone to continue sending their blessings and support to Park Shin Hye, her husband, and their newborn baby boy.

The star couple first started to see each other in late 2017. Last year, in November, the pair announced their pregnancy, following it up with a wedding ceremony right out of a fairy tale, on January 22 this year. The duo got married in a Seoul church amidst family, friends, and relatives.

Park Shin Hye, born in 1990, is a popular actress and singer from South Korea who started her career as a child artist for TV series, earning recognition with shows such as "Tree of Heaven" and "Stairway to Heaven".

Shin Hye went on to become a mainstream actor, starring in "Miracle in Cell No. 7," which became one of Korea's highest-grossing films ever. The actress even earned accolades for her roles in "Doctors", "Pinocchio", "The Heirs", You're Beautiful", "Sisyphus: The Myth", and "The Royal Tailor and The Call".

Choi Tae Joon is an actor, model, and television host who gained popularity for his villainous role in the disaster-mystery K-drama "Missing 9", which was released in the year 2017.

Later, he went on to play lead roles in the rom-com melodrama "Exit" and "So I Married the Anti-fan". He enlisted in the mandatory military service on August 1, 2019. However, he had an early discharge from the compulsory duty because of persistent health problems.
