BTS ranked 1st on Weekly K-Pop Radar chart, "'Permission to Dance' MV hits 10 million views in 39 minutes"
BTS topped the K-Pop Radar Weekly Chart with 'Permission to Dance'.
BTS' 'Permission to Dance' music video reached 84,979,437 views on the K-Pop Radar chart in the 28th week of 2021 (July 4 - July 10), ranking no.1 in just two days during the week chart counting period.
"It reached 10 million views in 39 minutes of release followed by 50 million views in half a day" said K-Pop Radar commemorating BTS's record-breaking streak. Furthermore, the music video for 'Permission to Dance' achieved 100 million views in 52 hours after its release, making BTS the 34th music video with 100 million views.
K-Pop Radar also mentioned, "The music video for 'Permission to Dance' achieved 1 million 'Likes' even before the video was officially released. This means that BTS fans around the world have been waiting and enjoying the music video with one heart"
Just like that, in only two weeks, BTS once again ascended to the K-Pop Radar throne with their new single, announcing the start of a new record strike.
In particular, BTS not only swept the top spots with 'Butter' and 'Dynamite', ranking 2nd and 3rd respectively, but also the 8th and 9th places with 'Poetry for Small Things' and 'MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) (Feat. Desiigner), creating more attention as they become a global sensation.
On a similar note, on this week's K-pop radar chart, Jeon So-yeon's 'BEAM BEAM' music video reached 9.46 million views, entering 5th place.
At the same time, LOONA's 'PTT (Paint The Town)' (11.55 million views), NCT Dream's 'Hello Future' (8.5 million views) and TWICE's 'Alcohol-Free' (7.86 million views) also climbed into the TOP 10.
That being said, K-Pop Radar is a fandom data professional service created by the music startup Space Oddity to understand fandom data at a glance following the rapid growth of K-Pop. Currently, 617 Korean artist teams' music video views, YouTube subscribers, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook followers, and fan cafe members are provided through a web service in the form of graphs and charts. Recently, it signed an official partnership agreement with Twitter and released the '2020 #KpopTwitter World Map', trending and collecting attention, while "Blip - For Smart K-Pop Stans", the app for the fandom, has also been released and it's been receiving a warm response.
