Jay B's 'Switch it Up' Reigns On iTunes And Twitter
GOT7's leader Jay B has dropped his first-ever solo single 'Switch it Up' which dominates the iTunes chart and is also trending No. 1 worldwide on Twitter. 'Switch it Up' is the newest track of the solo artist and GOT7 leader Jay B, and it was released on May 14, under H1GHR Music.
Lim Jae-beom commonly known by his stage name Jay B, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. On May 11, 2021, it was announced that he signed an exclusive contract with H1GHR Music, an international hip hop R&B record label founded by Korean American musician Jay Park and long-time Seattle affiliate Cha Cha Malone.
'Switch it Up' is Jay B's R&B masterpiece which features K-Hip-hop artist Sokodomo. The R&B song was self-written and self-composed by Jay B with Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, who also produced it.
The lyrics of 'Switch it Up' talk about love, while the title conveys that his life will change. The new song was an instant hit, taking the number 1 spot on music streaming platforms.
As soon as Jay B dropped the track, it garnered over 226, 000 views and surpassed 100, 000 likes on YouTube. Just two hours after the 'Switch it Up' release, it became trending No. 1 worldwide on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Jay B's 'Switch it Up' dominates the iTunes chart. His newest single has reached No. 1 in 17 countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Peru, Thailand, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, France, Ecuador, Mongolia, Kenya, Sweden, India, and Guatemala.
Moreover, Jay B and his newest release 'Switch it Up' are also trending in MelOn and have also debuted at No. 3 Genie song chart.
'Switch it Up' was Jay B's first comeback after he and fellow GOT7 members released their song 'Encore' in February. Even though all GOT7 members are now signed with various labels, the boy band group clarified that they did not disband and plan to continue working together.
