Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi made an appearance on MBC Radio's "Kim Shin Young's Hope Song At Noon" on July 20 to discuss the duo's activities and Irene's upcoming film, via Soompi.
On the segment of MBC, Irene talked about the support they got from Joy and Yeri as they wrapped up their activities for "Monster." She also spoke about the development of their follow-up activities for "Naughty." She revealed that the duo prepared a month to master the new track's steps before proceeding to the comeback because the dance seems experimental for them.
The magnificent duo also shared about their teamwork experiences. Irene said that working with Seulgi is a comfortable journey because they've been together for quite a while. Seulgi noted that since they both know each other well, it's not hard for both to work together.
The MBC program also conducted a quiz as part of the fun. Seulgi expressed her excitement for Irene's silver-screen debut in a film titled "Double Patty." She exclaimed that she couldn't almost contain the excitement in seeing Irene in a new role.
As described by Irene, in her new film, she will be playing the role of an aspiring anchorwoman. She also opened up that she will be receiving coaching to execute the task better. "I chose the role because I liked how the character works to achieve her dreams," Irene said.
When asked which female idols Seulgi thinks are great dancers, the charismatic singer chose BLACKPINK's Lisa, IZ*ONE's Lee Chae Yeon, Chungha, and TWICE's Momo.
On the other hand, Irene was asked if there are artists she likes to collaborate with, and she said that she is listening to songs by the band Krr a lot these days.
Irene also confessed on the interview that leading her group Red Velvet was never difficult.
