Lee So Yeon And Choi Yeo Jin To Star In An Upcoming Revenge Drama
Lee So Yeon and Choi Yeo Jin have been confirmed to be starring a new KBS drama together.
On December 18, Friday, a source revealed that both the actress are starring in a role under one film project in an upcoming KBS 2TV weekday drama series titled, 'Miss Monte Cristo.' The film project is slated to be broadcasted in early February next year, and fans are excited.
The film's reference was from a classic French novel, 'The Count of Monte Cristo,' which is now 'Miss Monte Cristo' of KBS is a suspense revenge-themed drama series and tells the tale of a woman whose life was ruined because of her friends' betrayal. The woman rises after suffering from drawbacks and is ready to take her revenge as she takes back everything stolen from her.
After receiving her first drama film after a year and a half, Lee So Yeon is confirmed to be starring in a tragic leading lady, Gong Eun Jo. She makes a living as a fashion designer whose goal is to make 'joyful' clothing like her late father; However, things worsen after her friends' betrayal making everything she worked hard for disappearing in front of her eyes.
Moreover, actress Choi Yeo Jin will also appear in the drama film as the wealthy chaebol heiress and socialite, Oh Ha Ra. She will eventually cross paths with Go Eun Jo, who will become her greatest rival in the story.
Despite having a high reputation in society, Oh Ha Ra is the daughter of a chaebol's mistress and is known for being such a troublemaker in her social circle. Gong Eun Jo, the complete opposite of Oh Ha Ra, will eventually wind up fighting for love as they get caught in a love triangle with the same man.
'Miss Monte Cristo' will officially be broadcasted on KBS 2TV in February 2021. Further details on the exact premiere have not been announced yet.
