GQ Korea Names Lee Dong Wook, Henry, Rain, Crush, And IU As 'Men And Woman Of The Year'
The most prominent list of personalities on their field is announced by the Korean outlet of GQ Korea, alongside preview photos of the magazine’s upcoming December issue. It hails four names in the Men Of The Year list, while one name in the Woman Of The Year.
The official names revealed by GQ Korea
First on the list is South Korean actor Lee Dong Wook, 38, reported by Allkpop. He has been on the list for three years under Men Of The Year, as he continuously gives the K-drama industry his impressive acting skills for 21 years now.
For this year, Lee Dong Wook graced the drama series Tale of the Nine-Tailed and SBS’s talk show Wook Talk.
Up next is South Korean singer-songwriter, actor Rain, 38. He has been in the industry for 22 years now, carrying his remarkable performance concept wherever he goes.
Rain joined hands with Lee Hyo Ri and Yoo Jae Suk for this year, forming a co-ed group called SSAK3. He also graced the reality program Hangout with Yoo.
Third on the list is the Canadian singer-actor Henry Lau, 31. He is a successful man in his field, as he establishes his studio after his contract ended with SM Entertainment.
For this year, he participated in the variety show I Live Alone and starred as a warrior in the Chinese movie Double World. Henry also dropped his third mini-album on November 18, entitled Journey.
Last on the list for Men Of The Year is South Korean R&B singer Crush, 28. For this year, he unveiled his fourth mini-album, hailing collaboration from various artists.
Crush also dropped three tracks before enlisting in the military, which Red Velvet’s Joy and Taeyeon graced two of them. Moreover, Crush lent his vocals for OSTs in the drama series Crash Landing On You and Itaewon Class.
Woman of the Year
The only gorgeous lady for GQ’s Woman Of The Year is South Korean songstress IU, 27. Since IU's star shined in the industry, she has been giving her fans good music pieces.
This year, she teamed up with BTS Suga for Eight, which soared high on various music charts. She also graced the OST lineup of Crash Landing On You and I-LAND.
According to Hellokpop, Men Of The Year is a highly-awaited event by the industry as it names the people who exude and showcased the most unique and clearest existence in their respective stunts for the whole year.
The enthralling list is celebrated in four different countries, including South Korea, Germany, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.
