'Flower Of Evil' Star Seo Hyun Woo Admires Lee Joon Gi's Dedication To His Job
“Flower of Evil” star Seo Hyun Woo, in a recent interview, talked about his experience filming the hit tvN drama.
Seo Hyun Woo, in “Flower of Evil,” played the role of journalist Kim Moo Jin. He is a childhood friend of Do Hyun Soo (played by Lee Joon Gi), and the ex-boyfriend of Do Hyun Soo’s sister Do Hae Soo (played by Jang Hee Jin).
The actor remarked as he looked back at his time on set that they filmed the drama over a long period. Along with their journey of filming, COVID-19 happened, and there was also the flooding. The actor shared that the staff all went through a lot.
But because the filming took a long time, he ended up focusing even more on the character of Kim Moo Jin. “I’m grateful to the staff that we were able to wrap up the drama without any issues.”
The actor also talked highly of his co-stars Lee Joon Gi and Jang Hee Jin, sharing that Lee Joon Gi and Jang Hee Jin are true veteran actors. And because it was his first leading role, though he was excited, he also felt very nervous, and they understood that better than anyone. The two top stars helped him feel comfortable even during the start of the rehearsals.
The actor continued praising Lee Joon Gi, saying that Lee Joon Gi is an actor that makes you wonder where all his energy is coming from. He is very cheerful and lively, and he’s a person who gives everyone around him great vibes and energy.
Seo Hyun Woo said that when he felt down because of his shortcomings while acting, Lee Joon Gi would approach him first to comfort him and talk about it. “He was someone who led the entire set and everyone on it that way. While playing my first lead, I learned a lot from watching Lee Joon Gi.”
Lastly, Seo Hyun Woo reflected on the difficulty he encountered during the early days of his career as an unknown actor. He said, “I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been nervous during the past ten years.” He shared that in his journey as an actor, there were times when he felt restless, and there were times that were so difficult that he even cried.
Seo Hyun Woo shares that he thinks all of those times were educational for him. An education about life. He added, “Those ten years of experience helped me a lot in my role as Kim Moo Jin.”
