BLACKPINK, BTS, Kang Daniel, Wonho, And SSAK3 Are Among The Top Notchers Of Gaon’s Monthly And Weekly Charts
Here are the Gaon Chart's monthly and weekly chart rankings!
Weekly Album Chart
The mini-album of Wonho titled "Part 1 Love Synonym (#1) Right for Me" topped the physical album chart for the week from August 30 to September 5. New releases notably dominated the week chart.
Super Junior's D&E's newly released mini-album "BAD BLOOD" ranked two on its debut this week, followed by Even the Day's (DAY6's new subunit) first mini-album "The Book of Us: Gluon – Nothing can tear us apart," which entered rank three on the chart.
Lastly, debuting on No. 4 and No. 5 are A.C.E's "HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy" and Lovelyz's "Unforgettable."
Monthly Album Chart
"Magenta" of Kang Daniel, which previously debuted at No. 1 on Gaon's weekly chart, topped the physical album chart for August. While at No. 2 and NO. 3 are TREASURE's solo debut single "THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE" and ITZY's "Not Shy."
Meanwhile, debuting on No. 4 and No. 5 are ATEEZ's "ZERO: FEVER Part.1," which received an official platinum certification this month, and CRAVITY's "HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO."
Weekly Download Chart
Taking its quadruple crown is BTS with their song "Dynamite." This week the new phenomenal single topped the overall digital chart, streaming chart, digital download chart, and BGM chart (which tracks the songs that people purchase to use as background music for their blogs and KakaoTalk profiles) for the second week in a row.
Sweeping the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on this week's digital download chart are the trot singer Kim Ho Joong's new tracks, "No Umbrella" and "In Full Bloom." Taking the No. 4 spot is Super Junior D&E's new title track "B.A.D," while on the fifth spot is BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream" (with Selena Gomez).
Monthly Download Chart
BTS also grabbed the top spot for the monthly digital download chart for August, followed by Kang Daniel's "Who U Are" at No. 2.
SSAK3's debut track "Beach Again" leading at No. 3 while on No. 4 and No. 5 spot are Rain's solo song "Let's Dance" (featuring MAMAMOO), which he released under his SSAK3 stage name B-Ryong, and Lee Hyori's solo song as Linda G, "Linda" (featuring Yoon Mi Rae).
Weekly Digital Chart + Streaming Chart
BTS' "Dynamite" remained No. 1 on both charts, followed by SSAK3's "Beach Again" at No. 2, Jessi's "NUNU NANA" at No. 3, MAMAMOO's Hwasa's "Maria" at No. 4, and Park Jin Young's duet with Sunmi, "When We Disco," at No. 5.
Moreover, the top five songs on the overall streaming chart and digital chart were also precisely the same for August: SSAK3's "Beach Again" topped both charts. Followed by Hwasa's "Maria" at No. 2, SSAK3's "Play That Summer" at No. 3, BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" at No. 4, and at No. 5 is Jessi's "NUNU NANA."
Weekly Social Chart
BLACKPINK remains undisputed at No. 1 on Gaon's Social Chart 2.0 for the 15th week in a row. It was followed by Yang Joon Il charting at No. 2 and BTS at No. 3. ITZY rose to No. 4 this week, while at No. 5 is ONF, which climbed 15 spots in the rankings.
Monthly Social Chart
BLACKPINK also held the No. 1 spot on Gaon's monthly Social Chart 2.0 for the fourth consecutive month. While BTS came in at No. 2 for August, followed by Kim Ho Joong at No. 3, Yang Joon Il at No. 4, and No. 5 is Im Young Woong.
