Former ILUV Member Member Minah After An Attempt Of Taking Her Own Life: I Won’t Do It Again
[Content Warning: Suicide]
After allegedly trying to end her own life, the former ILUV member was rescued!
In July, Minah posted on her Instagram to share that she was suffering from depression, panic disorder, and insomnia after being harassed by former fellow members of ILUV, wrote Soompi. She revealed that a police officer saved her after trying to take her own life.
WKS ENE, ILUV’s agency, denied all of Minah’s claims of harassment while in an episode of “E-news Exclusive” last month, Minah’s lawyer stated that she has evidence to prove harassment if the case goes to court.
Xportsnews reported on September 9 that Minah told the outlet in an interview that she is still struggling and that her agency has filed another criminal complaint against her. Behind the criminal case are allegations of obstruction of business and fan letter theft.
In response to Minah’s allegations, the agency said that her claims are false, and they have not filed additional complaints. They told Xportsnews that the cases she mentioned were already included in their first complaint, and as of now, the investigation is ongoing.
On September 8 and 9, Minah posted on her Instagram account with photos of a weight scale. She told in her post that she is trying to gain weight after losing weight due to stress.
However, on the morning of September 9, she caused worry among her followers after posting an Instagram entry. The Seoul Mapo Police Station said that they received a call at 12:17 PM, KST, about a woman on her 20s who was seen preparing to be attempting suicide.
The police then reported that they successfully rescued her, and they already handed her to her guardian. The police officers described the woman as a former group member with a family name “Shin” (Minah’s family name).
Meanwhile, Minah posted again on her Instagram account, following the rescue, saying that she will not do it again. She continued, “Sorry to worry you. I really won’t have any bad thoughts again. Thank you for supporting me. I truly thank the people who rescued me today, and I thank the fans who reported it.”
Later on, she deleted the post and replaced it with a selfie for her fans.
The idol also shared a screenshot of an article about the rescue, which presumes that she was the one described by the police attempting suicide. She also includes a report about her posts on Instagram with a caption, “Please stop posting malicious comments. It’s hard on me.” Minah also posted screenshots of DMs she received.
