Here's More Of Jung Yu Mi, The Lead Star Of The Upcoming Netflix Series 'The School Nurse'
Nam Joo Hyuk will be leading a new Netflix drama titled "The School Nurse," as most K-drama fans have known already due to the consecutive updates and peek-releases for the new series. And with the recent controversy connected to the teaser released by Netflix on YouTube and other platforms, the drama has gained more attention from the internet.
The new drama is based on the 2015 award-winning novel "School Nurse Ahn Eun-young written by the science fiction and fantasy writer Chung Serang, and it is scheduled to premiere on September 25, 2020, via Netflix.
"The School Nurse" centers its story on Eun Young, portrayed by actress Jung Yu Mi, a school nurse that seemed to be a normal girl but with a hidden secret. The character has a supernatural ability, "third-eye" as what it is commonly described, that makes her see monsters, also known as "jellies" in this drama. The said jellies are not visible to others except for Eun Young.
With the enticing and funny teasers shown on different media platforms, viewers are starting to get curious who's this female lead of the drama that will be journeying with Nam Joo Hyuk to hunt monsters with their colorful swords and guns.
Jung Yu Mi And Her Previous Roles
The 37-year-old Jung Yun Mi is a South Korean actress born on January 18, 1983. The actress has portrayed several roles that showed her versatility when it comes to acting, including "I Need Romance" (2012) and "Discovery of Love" (2014).
Jung Yu Mi has been focused on taking roles in films. She has appeared in several critical ad commercially acclaimed movies, including the 2012 "Silenced," which she starred with her excellent friend Gong Yoo. In the 2016 "Train To Busan," and the 2019 "Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982," which made her nominated as the best actress in the recent Baeksang Arts Awards.
In 2021, the actress will be starring on the big screen with Park Bo Gum with her sci-fi film titled "Wonderland."

The actress also made her stint in the variety show that was recently bombarded with cultural issues with their used location and house, titled "Summer Vacation." In the program, she was starring with Park Seo Joona in Choi Woo Shik.
Jung Yu Mi has signed in Management Soop with other big-time actors. The agency also holds famous stars like Nam Joo Hyuk, Suzy, Gong Yoo, Gong Hyo Jin, Jeon Do Yeon, etc.
