Kim Jong Kook Reveals His First Impression Of Cha Tae Won’s Wife In ‘My Ugly Duckling’
Kim Jong Kook spent more time with his close friends Cha Tae Hyun and Hong Kyung Kim in the August 16 episode of SBS' "My Ugly Duckling."
Kim Jong Kook, during the show, recalled his impression of the wife of Cha Tae Hyun. It has been known by most that Cha Tae Hyun married his first love and childhood sweetheart, Choi Suk Eun, and recently the couple has three children.
Kim Jong Kook shared that he was 22 when he went to Cha Tae Hyun's house and met his wife for the first time. He revealed that during that time, he saw his wife as his older sister.
The surprised Cha Tae Hyun expressed, "Because we look alike? Or because she looked old?" Kim Joong Kook said that he did not tell him that he has a girlfriend before; that's why he reacted like that.
The statement made Cha Tae Hyun crack up and said, "Kim Jong Kook, you're out." Kim Jong Kook then replied that he was trying to say that she didn't feel like his girlfriend because she has a very benevolent air. Seo Jang Hoon noted from the panel, "How is he going to recover from this?"
Trying to fix things, Kim Jong Kook said that they did not look similar. But Choi Suk Eun looked at her boyfriend at that time very kindly. He also noted that his wife is beautiful.
Cha Tae Hyun then expressed that Kim Jong Kook is on the wanted list now, and it's too late for him to clear things out. He also added that Choi Suk Eun would slap him if she passes on the street with his wife. "Be careful of any virtuous-looking men you might meet."
According to Soompi, the original meaning of the word Kim Jong Kook used, hoodeok, is "virtuous" or "generous," but these days, the term has been used as redundant term plumpness or weight gain.
