Actor Kang Kyung-joon faces an adultery scandal as his private conversation with a woman, Ms. A, was made public. Reactions are mixed: some are shocked, while others worry that the publicizing of private messages may unfairly push another celebrity to the brink.

On the 8th, a media outlet released messages between Kang Kyung-joon and Ms. A, identified as his affair partner. Kang received a lawsuit on the 3rd, demanding 50 million won in damages.

The messages between Kang and Ms. A include content that allows for speculation about their relationship. They exchanged messages multiple times and reportedly worked together at a real estate marketing agency, not a brokerage.

Kang's adultery allegations surfaced on the 3rd, with the plaintiff claiming Kang intervened in a marriage, causing its collapse. Filed last December 26th, the lawsuit accuses Kang of misconduct despite knowing Ms. A was married, with submitted evidence supporting these claims.

Following the allegations, Kang's side stated, "We confirmed receipt of the lawsuit. There seems to have been some misunderstanding. Our company plans to respond sequentially." However, five days since the allegations, Kang's side has yet to take significant action.

Especially after the release of the messages on the 8th, Kang's representatives were cautious, stating, "It's difficult to confirm matters related to personal life."

Kang, embroiled in the scandal, is expected to be absent from the show "The Return of Superman." The show's team clarified, "There are no current or planned recordings with Kang. Future plans will be discussed after the case is fully resolved." His son, who had a minor role in the drama "The Korean-Khitan War," will also have minimal screen time.

Public opinion on Kang's scandal is divided. Some are disappointed and shocked, especially given Kang's previously affectionate image, while others question whether it's right to publicize such private matters. The tragic case of the late Lee Sun-kyun, who faced drug use allegations and suffered from invasive privacy breaches, influences a call for caution, as there's yet to be a verdict and Kang has not stated his position.

Kang Kyung-joon married actress Jang Shin-young in 2018 and has two sons.
