G-Dragon, Denying Drug Allegations, Will Voluntarily Appear at the Police Station on Nov. 6: 'I will actively participate in the investigation'
Singer G-Dragon, who is under suspicion of drug use, has announced that he will voluntarily appear at the police station on November 6th.
On the 31st, Kim Su-hyun, an attorney from the law firm K-One Chamber, who is representing G-Dragon, stated, "Mr. Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon's real name) has decided to actively participate in the investigation by voluntarily attending the drug crime investigation division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency on November 6th, for a swift and fair investigation."
The statement continued, "We urge the media to take a responsible stance to ensure that baseless false information doesn't cause irreversible harm to Mr. Kwon Ji-yong, a representative K-POP artist of Korea. We will take a very strict stance against speculative reports not based on facts, treating them as false information dissemination and defamation."
They further emphasized, "We will respond very strictly until the end to speculative reports not based on facts, considering them as spreading false information and defamation."
Previously, on the 27th, G-Dragon denied the suspicions of drug use, stating, "I have never used drugs. The recent media reports about the 'Violation of the Drug Control Act' are unrelated to me. However, I am aware that many are concerned, so I will actively cooperate with the investigative agencies and approach it with utmost sincerity."
