BoyNextDoor Conquers U.S. Billboard Charts in Just 100 Days Since Debut
In what seems reminiscent of a strategic operation, the past 100 days for BoyNextDoor have been nothing short of meteoric, and today, their success shines brighter than ever.
BoyNextDoor, the rookie idol group from HYBE, the same label as BTS, has made a significant mark just 100 days after their debut. Not only have they clinched the top spot in domestic music ranking programs with their new song "But Sometimes," but they've also dominated the global pop trend indicator, the Billboard-X (formerly known as Twitter) Hot Trending Song chart, securing the #1 position as of the afternoon of September 14th (KST).
The significance of topping the Hot Trending Song chart is immense, as it ranks songs based on the number of mentions on the global social media platform 'X', formerly known as Twitter. By surpassing pop diva Olivia Rodrigo by a margin of over 30 points on the chart metrics, there's potential for BoyNextDoor's reign at the top to be long-lasting.
In Japan, one of the major markets, the public's interest in BoyNextDoor is noticeably intensifying. Their performance on the local representative chart, Oricon, serves as evidence. BoyNextDoor ranked third on the weekly album ranking with their mini-album 'WHY,' which features their title track "But Sometimes."
BoyNextDoor is a six-member male idol group presented by KOZ Entertainment under HYBE Labels. The members - Sungho, Liu, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Lee Han, and Woonhak - are part of this ensemble, which also boasts works by Zico, who is active both as a singer and a producer.
