Big Hit Music BTS Jungkook Lauded as the Next Justin Timberlake by 'Seven' Producers

In a remarkable achievement for the world of K-pop, BTS's Jungkook has solidified his position as a global music sensation. Two months post its release, his solo debut single "Seven" continues to dominate the charts, marking a significant milestone in the U.S. music industry.

As of September 12, Billboard announced that "Seven" has successfully maintained its position on the Hot 100 for an impressive eight consecutive weeks, securing the No. 37 spot for the week ending on September 16. With this, Jungkook joins the elite club of Korean solo artists who have managed to chart a song in the top 40 of the Hot 100 for eight weeks. The only other artist to have achieved this feat is the renowned PSY.

Furthermore, "Seven" has continued its uninterrupted reign at the top of Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart. It remains the only song released in 2023 to have spent its initial eight weeks at the chart's summit. While it enjoyed seven consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200, the song took a slight dip to No. 2 in its eighth week. However, it remains steady at No. 19 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart, which gauges weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the U.S.
