BTS's Jungkook's 'Seven' Sets New Billboard Global Record with 7 Consecutive Weeks at #1
BTS's Jungkook has etched another milestone on the U.S. Billboard charts.
According to the latest charts released by the U.S. music authority Billboard on September 6th (local time), Jungkook's 'Seven (feat. Latto)' ranked #1 on both the 'Global 200' and 'Global Excluding U.S.' charts, which rank songs based on streaming and sales across more than 200 countries/regions. With this achievement, 'Seven' becomes the first song this year to maintain the top spot on the 'Global' chart for seven consecutive weeks.
'Seven' also showcased its enduring popularity by climbing four spots from the previous week to rank 28th on the main 'Hot 100' chart, marking its seventh consecutive week in the upper echelons.
J-Hope's 'Jack In The Box' secured its place on the 'Billboard 200' at #70 for the second consecutive week and also ranked 3rd on the 'World Albums', 7th on the 'Top Current Albums', and 8th on the 'Top Album Sales'. Suga's solo album 'D-DAY' landed at #61 on the 'Top Current Albums', while Jimin's debut solo album 'FACE' ranked 11th on the 'World Albums' and 93rd on the 'Top Current Albums'. The title track from 'FACE', 'Like Crazy', has been on the charts for 23 weeks, ranking 38th on the 'Global Excluding U.S.' and 62nd on the 'Global 200'.
Ahead of the release of V's debut solo album 'Layover', the pre-released tracks 'Love Me Again' and 'Rainy Days' from last month ranked 30th and 55th on the 'Global Excluding U.S.' and 58th and 115th on the 'Global 200', respectively. On the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, V's self-composed track 'Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy)', which was officially released on the 28th of last month, debuted at #2, while 'Scenery' entered at #3. 'Love Me Again' secured the 8th spot, and Jin's debut solo single 'The Astronaut' re-entered at #14.
