LE SSERAFIM Dominates Billboard for 15 Weeks, Defying Trends with a 'Reverse Surge'
Global sensation LE SSERAFIM has marked their 15th consecutive week on the U.S. Billboard charts, showcasing their unyielding international popularity.
According to the recent charts released by the U.S. music authority, Billboard, on August 19th (local time), LE SSERAFIM, consisting of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae, saw their first full album 'UNFORGIVEN' rank at #7 on the 'World Albums' chart, #36 on 'Top Current Album Sales', and #56 on 'Top Album Sales'.
Furthermore, two tracks from this album demonstrated LE SSERAFIM's impressive strength by making significant leaps on the music charts. The title track 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' climbed an impressive 41 spots to rank at #93 on the 'Billboard Global Excluding U.S.' and re-entered the 'Billboard Global 200' at #181. Another song, 'Eve, Psyche, and Bluebeard's Wife', also rose on the charts, ranking #56 on the 'Billboard Global Excluding U.S.' and #107 on the 'Billboard Global 200', jumping up 7 and 1 spots respectively from the previous week.
Previously, LE SSERAFIM made a notable entrance at #6 on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200', with their debut album. They remained on the chart for eight consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting 4th generation K-pop girl group. Even four months after the album's release, their unwavering popularity on major Billboard charts continues to draw attention, raising anticipation for their subsequent chart performances.
In related news, LE SSERAFIM is set to release their second Japanese single 'UNFORGIVEN' on the 23rd. This upcoming release will feature a collaboration with the artist Ado, renowned in the Japanese music industry, including the title track 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers, Ado) -Japanese ver.-', along with the Japanese versions of 'ANTIFRAGILE' and 'Jewelry (Prod. imase)', making it a three-track single.
