LE SSERAFIM Releases Japanese Version of 'UNFORGIVEN', Featuring Top Charting Artist
The group LE SSERAFIM is set to pre-release the title track of their second Japanese single.
On August 8, at 6 pm, the Japanese version of the title track 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers, Ado)' from their second Japanese single will be released. This track is the Japanese rendition of the title song from their first full album released in Korea last May.
The new song features Ado, an artist currently sweeping the Japanese pop music scene. In 2020, Ado dominated with her massive hit 'Usseewa' and also achieved global chart-topping success with 'Shin Sedai', the theme for the 'One Piece Film Red', garnering over 300 million streams. The powerful voice of Ado combined with LE SSERAFIM's message about forging their unique path away from society's set norms is anticipated to create a positive synergy.
Ado expressed, "LE SSERAFIM is an artist I genuinely admire. It was both an honor and a privilege to collaborate with them as a fan. I hope many will listen and enjoy this incredible song."
LE SSERAFIM's second Japanese single 'UNFORGIVEN' will officially be released on August 23, containing a total of three tracks, including 'Jewelry (Prod. imase)' and the Japanese version of 'ANTIFRAGILE'. The pre-released track 'Jewelry (Prod. imase)' has already made an impressive mark by securing the 5th spot on the LINE MUSIC 'Weekly Song Chart' (for the period July 26th to August 1st) immediately upon its release.
Furthermore, LE SSERAFIM has been making waves by sweeping key charts like Oricon and Billboard Japan. They have received certifications like 'Gold', 'Platinum', and 'Double Platinum' from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, highlighting their overwhelming success in the region. For the 'Oricon First Half Ranking 2023' (covering December 12, 2022, to June 11, 2023), they clinched the top spot in the 'New Artist Sales' category, recording sales amounting to approximately 11.8 billion yen (equivalent to around 110 billion won).
