Eyes are on singer Hwang Young-woong's recent activities.

On August 2, a video of Hwang Young-woong covering Lim Jae-beom's 'Emergency' was posted on the YouTube channel 'HyuTV'.

In the video, Hwang Young-woong can be seen seated in a studio, singing. There were no particular comments or greetings.

The lyrics of the song, which include lines such as, "Now I can face the world. I will proudly show my dreams. The wings that have been folded for so long will spread wide in the sky, starting afresh. I won't avoid anything anymore," garnered attention.

Netizens left comments such as, "Supporting 'Emergency'", and "We support you."

Meanwhile, in February, Hwang Young-woong, who was gaining popularity as a strong contender on the MBN audition program 'Burning Trotman', faced allegations from someone claiming they were assaulted by him in the past. The accuser also stated they had been punched by Hwang and had filed charges for assault.

In addition, other controversies surrounded him, including dating violence, alleged misconduct during his military service which led to his early discharge as a Private First Class, and accusations of lying about previous work experiences in a factory.

Ultimately, Hwang Young-woong voluntarily withdrew from 'Burning Trotman' before the second finals. Amidst the ongoing controversies, his agency had stated, "Hwang Young-woong has no plans to engage in any activities for now," indicating a period of reflection.

Later in May, Hwang Young-woong's mother left a message on the fan cafe, saying, "Due to circumstances, I can't join the fan cafe, but seeing the ever-increasing number of fans supporting wholeheartedly from behind, words can't express my gratitude," adding, "I don't know when, but I hope we can meet with smiles in a better place."
