SM Entertainment's Rookie Group RIIZE Surpasses 1 Million Instagram Followers in Record Time
SM Entertainment's rookie boy group RIIZE has set a record pace in K-pop, amassing a sizeable following even before their official debut.
RIIZE's official Instagram account, which opened at midnight on August 1, amassed over a million followers by the early morning of August 5, just four days later. This marks the fastest time for any K-pop group to reach this milestone, reflecting the explosive interest in RIIZE.
RIIZE, gearing up for their debut in September, comprises seven members: Shotaro, Eun-Seok, Sung-Chan, Won-Bin, Seung-Han, So-Hee, and Anton. As the group's journey is a real-time odyssey showcasing their growth, this record-setting achievement stokes interest in the new K-pop history the members will write together.
Additionally, following the success of their Instagram account, RIIZE plans to expand their social media presence. The group will officially open accounts on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Weibo at midnight on August 7. They plan to share content counting down to their debut, thus broadening their interaction with global fans.
Meanwhile, the group name 'RIIZE' is a combination of the English words 'rise' (to grow) and 'realize', embodying the meaning of a team growing and realizing their dreams together. They also promise to deliver a unique music genre called 'Emotional Pop', expressing their emotions.
