T-ARA's Jiyeon has candidly discussed the interruption in her career following her marriage.

On August 3, Jiyeon shared her current situation and concerns through her YouTube channel.

In the video, Jiyeon admitted, "Honestly, I expected that getting married would naturally affect my career to some degree. Even though I thought about the professional aspects, experiencing it firsthand is tough. It was even harder at first."

She continued, "Who can I talk to about this? I told my brother-in-law (Hwang Jae-gyun) that I feel very flustered. I didn't expect it to this extent, and it's quite hollow. It feels like everything I've done throughout my career is being overshadowed by my marriage."

Especially noteworthy was Jiyeon's comment, "I chose to get married at a young age, and it's my choice, so I accept and acknowledge that it's just a chapter change. I'm still the same person." She added, "My brother-in-law always tells me to do what I want and rest comfortably. He tells me not to stress about work, but that's easier said than done."

Jiyeon married professional baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun in December of last year. The newlyweds' house is located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, in the L Residence. During one entertainment program, it was introduced that Hwang Jae-gyun had bought a 205 square meter unit for about 6.7 billion won.

Meanwhile, Jiyeon is not the only one who has expressed concerns about career interruptions due to events like marriage. Actor Song Joong-ki has previously drawn attention with his related remarks. In an interview with a Chinese media outlet, Song Joong-ki said, "In our industry, becoming a father and a husband sometimes means losing a job. Having a baby and getting married increasingly seem like losing a job."
