TWICE's inaugural subunit MISAMO, composed of Mina, Sana, and Momo, has secured the top spot on the Oricon daily album rankings with their Japanese debut album 'Masterpiece'.

On the 26th, JYP Entertainment officially released 'Masterpiece', the debut album of the first-ever TWICE subunit 'MISAMO'. The mini-album 'Masterpiece', released between the 25th and 27th, dominated the Oricon daily album rankings for three consecutive days, reaffirming their overwhelming popularity locally. Furthermore, as of the afternoon of the 26th, the album topped the iTunes album charts in 22 overseas regions, including Japan, Singapore, and Turkey, and achieved first place in the worldwide iTunes album charts on the 25th and 26th. Additionally, MISAMO topped the Japanese iTunes Store album ranking and the Japanese Line Music Top 100 album real-time ranking on the 26th, thereby affirming their popularity and the global interest in TWICE's inaugural subunit.

To celebrate the release of their debut unit album, Mina, Sana, and Momo held the 'MISAMO JAPAN SHOWCASE 2023' at Intex Osaka and Tokyo Pia Arena MM from the 22nd to 27th. The five shows held in Osaka and Tokyo attracted around 600,000 preliminary applications, demonstrating the unit's overwhelming popularity.

At the showcase, MISAMO performed all the tracks from the album, including the title song 'Do not touch', 'Behind The Curtain', 'Marshmallow', 'Funny Valentine', 'It's not easy for you', 'Rewind you', and 'Bouquet'. The performance also included previously unreleased photos, MISAMO quizzes, album behind-the-scenes talks, and more, all designed to captivate the audience.

At the final show in Tokyo on the 27th, a surprise video message of support from other TWICE members was played, moving Mina, Sana, and Momo to tears. In a heartwarming show of support, Nayeon also made a surprise visit to the venue. The show was filled with emotion when fans, known as ONCE, organized a slogan event congratulating MISAMO's debut. In response, Mina, Sana, and Momo thanked the fans and expressed anticipation for their next meeting.

The title track of MISAMO's Japanese debut album 'Do not touch' is an R&B genre song that highlights the seductive charm of the three members, with lyrics written by JYP's representative producer, Park Jinyoung. The music video is receiving a lot of love from fans both at home and abroad, due to the dazzling visuals of Mina, Sana, and Momo radiating an elegant aura, creating a high-quality 'Masterpiece'.
