EXO's Chanyeol is set to join singer-songwriter Rothy in her upcoming digital single!
Rothy's agency Dorothy Company announced on August 7 that EXO's Chanyeol fully participated in Rothy's new digital single project, 'Ocean View,' which is set to release this August 13. The fantastic rapper of EXO will be collaborating with Rothy as a featuring artist. (Via Soompi)
The revelation came after the teasers dropped two days ago by Rothy with hints regarding her upcoming single. She also shared a few clues about the artists she worked together on the song that was immediately captured by fans to be Chanyeol.
Dorothy Company expressed that though the two talented artists met, they were able to develop a piece of more adventurous and more productive music. The label continued that the output of their collaboration will give listeners cheerful and vibrant energy this summer.
Chanyeol's teaming up on a smash hit song with Punch titled 'Stay With Me' shows the rapper singer's strong track record in collaborating with female singers. His recent collaboration with Lee Sun Hee's 'Anbu' also adds to his fans' excitement for the upcoming partnership with Rothy.
Rothy's First Collab
Per Allkpop, merging Chanyeol's music is Rothy's first collaboration with another artist for her music release. The partnership was first suggested by veteran singer Shin Seung Hoon, who discovered and nurtured Rothy's talent, and expressed that Chanyeol is a good match for her music.
According to Dorothy Company, Chanyeol readily accepted the offer on the spot, after Shin Seung Hoon played 'Ocean View' for him at a social gathering.
