Four Years Since the Passing of Actress Jeon Mi-seon, A Profound Sense of Longing Remains
It has been four years since the late actress Jeon Mi-seon left this world.
Jeon Mi-seon passed away at the age of 50 on June 29, 2019. She was found deceased in a hotel room located in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, and despite the immediate dispatch of the 119 rescue team and the police following the report by her manager, she had already left this world.
At the time, her agency, Boas Entertainment, stated, "Jeon Mi-seon was receiving treatment for depression, and it is with sadness that we bring this news," adding, "We hope for her to rest in peace. We ask for restraint in spreading rumors and speculative reports."
Jeon Mi-seon attended the production presentation of the film 'The King's Letters' just four days before her death, and her visit to Jeonju was for the play 'Mother-in-law'. Her sudden departure was all the more shocking because she was also scheduled to appear in the KBS2 drama 'The Tale of Nokdu'.
In response, Song Kang-ho, who worked with her on 'The King's Letters', mourned her passing, stating, "It's a regrettable and sad event. All the staff are spending time in sadness." Park Hae-il also commemorated her by saying, "It was an honor to work with her on her last project, and I hope the viewers will embrace it with a warm heart."
Meanwhile, Jeon Mi-seon made her debut in 1986 with MBC TV's 'Bestseller Theater - Does Santa Exist', and gained public recognition by appearing in dramas like 'Land', 'Bread, Love and Dreams', 'The Moon Embracing the Sun', and movies like 'Bungee Jumping of Their Own', 'Memories of Murder', and 'Mother'.
