Are MONSTA X's Joohoney and I.M Getting Closer? They Respond, 'We're Not Exactly Strangers'
Boy band MONSTA X unveiled a thrilling twist in their latest web episode. On June 13th, the band aired the 16th episode of their personal web series, 'Mon Channel' via their official YouTube Channel.
During a game of "Monfia," MONSTA X's unique spin on Mafia, Hyungwon strategically targeted I.M, who hadn't purchased a bulletproof vest, pushing the game to his advantage. However, Kihyun vociferously claimed that Hyungwon was a 'Monfia' and supported his accusations with a hint he had bought using 'Monmoney,' stating that the 'Monfia' had "black hair" and was "tieless."
A flustered Hyungwon tried to avoid the situation with silence and lies but found himself increasingly cornered. The voting results of the second round resulted in Hyungwon receiving three votes. Thanks to his bulletproof vest, Hyungwon survived. In contrast, Kihyun was targeted but saved by Shownu, who inherited I.M's "Insurance Agent" role from the 'Actor,' keeping the tension high.
'Private Detective' Kihyun perfectly deduced everyone's roles and insisted that Joohoney, who had been cashing in pension every round, was the most likely winner and should be eliminated. Even Hyungwon admitted to being a 'Monfia' and joined Kihyun's reasoning, forming a peculiar alliance. A frantic Joohoney attempted to form an alliance with Kihyun but failed.
Nobody was eliminated in the third round of voting. Joohoney, who hadn't bought a bulletproof vest, received a hint from I.M and revisited the shop to buy one, thereby saving himself. As the pressure of items intensified, the fourth round ensued, and with Hyungwon receiving three votes, he was eliminated, thus ending the game.
Upon revealing the 'Monmoney,' Joohoney ranked first. Joohoney, radiating warmth, gifted the prize he received for placing first to Shownu.
At the end of the video, Joohoney and I.M were seen sitting side by side in the kitchen. Joohoney commented, "We're not exactly strangers, are we?" to which I.M responded, "We've been together for nine years," raising curiosity and excitement among fans.
Fans can tune in to the 'Mon Channel' every Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST via MONSTA X's official YouTube channel.
