Following his departure from the group TEEN TOP, C.A.P is also leaving his agency, which essentially means his retirement from the entertainment industry.

On the afternoon of May 11, TOP Media announced, "C.A.P has terminated his exclusive contract with us simultaneously with his departure from the team. We have mutually agreed with C.A.P to show better sides of ourselves on our respective paths." This announcement came just half a day after the news of his departure.

As a result, TEEN TOP will reorganize as a four-member group ahead of their 13th-anniversary album release. According to the agency, Niel, Chunji, Ricky, and Changjo will have thorough discussions and proceed with their planned comeback in July.

C.A.P expressed his feelings about leaving the group through his Instagram. He said, "I want to first apologize to many people who have been hurt by my words and actions," and "I was aware that controversy could arise, but I acted selfishly, only thinking about myself," apologizing for the previous live broadcast profanity controversy.

He continued, "I felt like I was wearing clothes that didn't fit me for a long time. I wanted to take off those clothes, so I ended up committing wrongful actions," confessing his doubts about his career in the entertainment industry.

On May 8, C.A.P expressed his dissatisfaction with TEEN TOP's comeback during a YouTube live broadcast. When a viewer asked him to refrain from using profanity and smoking during the broadcast, he said, "I honestly don't like it when people who don't usually watch my broadcast suddenly come and say, 'You shouldn't do this' when I'm making a comeback." He shocked fans by saying, "It may be a shocking statement, but I'm thinking about not making a comeback. My contract ends in July."

He also hinted at his retirement from the entertainment industry. He said, "I actually dislike cameras. I still can't look at cameras well on stage and have been doing something that doesn't suit me for over 10 years." He added, "I calculated that my annual salary is about 60 million KRW, but if I'm going to be this stressed, wouldn't it be better to do manual labor instead? If the broadcast doesn't go well, I might do manual labor, but I don't know if I'll ever return to the industry."

TEEN TOP members, who are now with different agencies, have recently been in the spotlight again by appearing on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo.' Thanks to the support of fans, they were preparing for a comeback after three years. However, the leader's bombshell statements have left the group members in a difficult situation. Due to the controversy, C.A.P will not be making a comeback with TEEN TOP.
