KCON JAPAN 2023: Kep1er, NiziU, STAYC, and Yena Set to Deliver a Legendary Opening Performance
KCON JAPAN 2023 is prepared to capture the hearts of global fans with an even more diverse and exciting show.
From May 12 to 14, a total of 23 teams of artists, including AB6IX, ATBO, ATEEZ, DXTEEN, ENHYPEN, iKON, INI, ITZY, JO1, JUST B, Kep1er, LE SSERAFIM, NiziU, STAYC, TEMPEST, THE BOYZ, VIVIZ, XG, xikers, YENA, ZEROBASEONE, 8TURN, and &TEAM, will be participating in KCON JAPAN 2023. The event promises a spectacular opening stage and special MCs, raising expectations for the show. (Artists listed in alphabetical order)
On May 12, the opening performance of the show will feature an upgraded "Girls Collaboration" stage based on the signature song "POPPIA," which was first showcased at KCON 2022. The stars of this special collaboration stage that will kick off KCON JAPAN 2023 are solo artist Yena, Kep1er's Hikaru and Seo Young-eun, NiziU's Rio, Maya, and Rima, and STAYC's Aisa, Se-eun, and Yoon.
Yena, a successful solo artist and popular TV personality, will join Kep1er's Hikaru and Seo Young-eun, who are preparing for their first arena tour in Japan this May and June. NiziU's Rio, Maya, and Rima, a rising Japanese girl group planning their second solo tour in July, will also join the performance. The collaboration will be completed with STAYC's Aisa, Yoon, and Se-eun, who are continuously achieving career highs with each album release. This special combination of top girl group members, never seen before, is sure to excite global K-pop fans.
Furthermore, the MCs for the three-day KCON JAPAN 2023 show will consist of pairs of Korean and Japanese members, adding more significance to the event. On May 12, THE BOYZ's Hyunjae and NiziU's Ayaka will be the MCs, followed by ATEEZ's Yunho and LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha on May 13th, and ITZY's Ryujin and ENHYPEN's Niki on May 14th.
