On 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center,' Lee Soo-min expressed her concerns and anxiety about her father Lee Yong-sik's health.

The Channel A variety show 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center' aired on May 5th, featuring comedian Lee Yong-sik and his daughter Lee Soo-min. Su-min shared her frustration that her father doesn't exercise, saying, "I've been telling him for ten years that if he doesn't exercise, he'll die early, but it's the same." She added, "I try to make him exercise every day, but I'm really curious why he hates moving."

In response, Lee Yong-sik said, "The gym is the place I least want to go. Everyone tells me not to eat and to walk. At first, I thought it was my daughter's love, but it's become too excessive and repetitive," showing his exhaustion as well.

Lee Soo-min revealed her father's health issues, saying, "He's morbidly obese, has high blood pressure, myocardial infarction, and one eye has gone blind." She further explained that her father had previously confessed to going blind in one eye after a stroke. Lee Yong-sik urgently needed management due to worsening diabetes and cerebral infarction. He said, "When the chest pain becomes severe, I go to the emergency room, and sometimes without my family knowing, I go there in the middle of the night. When I hold the emergency room's door handle, the pain disappears, and I feel relieved. I always carry a talisman-like bracelet containing the medicine I need for angina treatment."

In response, Oh Eun-young advised that Lee Yong-sik shouldn't just start exercising, considering his weight, age, and medical conditions. She emphasized the importance of finding the right exercise for him and cautioned against strenuous aerobic exercises, which could overload someone with his medical history.

Lee Soo-min said she even cancels her plans to accompany her father to his health check-ups. She was unaware of his blindness in one eye, and Lee Yong-sik explained that it was due to high blood pressure. He said, "One day, the utility poles looked bent, and black afterimages followed. However, I only took a break and didn't go to an ophthalmologist right away." As a result, his condition worsened, and he was diagnosed with retinal vascular occlusion-induced blindness.

When asked about her excessive concern for her father's health, Lee Soo-min tearfully said, "I have a lot of nightmares." She added, "It's always the same nightmare, where I turn on the TV, and the news says 'Lee Yong-shik is dead.'" The fear of death had been overwhelming for a young Su-min when her father, only 46 at the time, collapsed from a myocardial infarction.

Lee Yong-sik expressed his guilt, saying, "Seeing her still worrying about me tortures me. I was getting ready for a recording at home when I suddenly felt chest pain. It was an excruciating pain, like a needle stabbing my chest, and I couldn't overcome it. My daughter witnessed me collapsing," he said, adding, "Her startled reaction still haunts me, and I feel guilty for causing her anxiety."
