LE SSERAFIM's 'Unforgiven' Climbs to #2 in K-pop Girl Group's First-Week Sales, Sets Record for 4th Generation K-Pop Girl Groups
In just three days since its release, 4th generation K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM's first full-length album 'Unforgiven' has set a new record.
According to Hanteo Chart, a website that aggregates album sales, on the 5th, LE SSERAFIM's 'Unforgiven' physical album, which was released offline on the 2nd, has sold 1,178,455 copies. This confirms its position as the second-best first-week sales for K-pop female artists, including girl groups and solo singers. Their agency Source Music stated, "This is the highest achievement among 4th generation girl groups, and considering that there are still four days left in the first-week sales period, their explosive momentum is evident."
'Unforgiven' surpassed aespa's 2nd mini album 'Girls' (1.12 million copies) and IVE's 1st full-length album 'I've IVE' (1.1 million copies), which were previously ranked 2nd and 3rd in K-pop girl group's first-week sales, respectively. It also surpassed BLACKPINK member Jisoo's first solo single 'Flower' first-week sales (1,172,351 copies). Currently, BLACKPINK's 2nd full-length album 'The Pink' holds the all-time first-week sales record for K-pop girl groups with 1.54 million copies.
LE SSERAFIM is also making a splash on global music charts.
According to Spotify's chart on the 3rd, the title track 'Unforgiven' from 'Unforgiven' ranked 58th on the global 'Daily Top Songs' chart for two consecutive days. The song has also appeared on the 'Daily Top Songs' charts in a total of 19 countries/regions, including Singapore at #3, Taiwan at #4, and Hong Kong and Malaysia at #10. In particular, it maintained the top spot on the Korean chart for two consecutive days, with all seven new tracks entering the ranking. Additionally, the 'Unforgiven' music video surpassed 30 million views on YouTube around 2 AM on the same day.
LE SSERAFIM will showcase their new song stage on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' at 5:05 PM today and on SBS TV's 'Inkigayo' at 3:40 PM on the 8th (KST).

LE SSERAFIM's first full-length album 'Unforgiven' is receiving focused attention from US media outlets.
