Dancer No:ze's Comeback After 'Power Abuse' Controversy: 9 Months Later, Returns to Taeyang's Stage Looking Slimmer
Dancer No:ze has returned to the stage with singer Taeyang, nine months after facing controversy over his behavior.
On April 30, No:ze appeared as a backup dancer for Taeyang's comeback stage on SBS's "Inkigayo." Taeyang showcased his new EP, "Down to Earth," released on April 25, performing the title track "In My Heart" and "Shoom! (feat. LISA of BLACKPINK)." Among these performances, Noje joined Taeyang on stage for "Shoom!" and attracted attention with his noticeably slimmer appearance.
Previously, Star News reported that Noje had joined Lee Jung, whom he met through Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter," in performing in the music video for "Shoom!" It was also confirmed that Noje would likely appear on Taeyang's "Shoom!" music show stage with Lee Jung. A representative from No:ze's agency, Starting House, confirmed to Star News, "It's true that Noje participated in the performance music video for 'Shoom.'"
During "Inkigayo," No:ze performed the dance for "Shoom!" alongside Lee Jung and other "Street Man Fighter" dancers. Though he showcased powerful moves, he appeared somewhat tense. "Shoom!" gained extra attention as BLACKPINK's Lisa participated in the track as a featured artist.
No:ze was embroiled in a "power abuse" controversy last July when he reportedly received millions of won for posting sponsored content on his social media, but uploaded the posts late or deleted them after the promotional period had ended.
No:ze and his agency issued an official apology, but later, No:ze claimed that he had not received payment from his agency for several months since April of last year and sought to terminate his exclusive contract. The agency later announced that the dispute with No:ze had been amicably resolved. After being subjected to continuous criticism, No:ze took a break from his activities and has now returned to the spotlight with Taeyang's stage after nine months.
