NewJeans Claims Top Spot in April's Singer Brand Reputation Rankings, Beating BTS and Lim Young-woong
Group NewJeans has achieved the top spot in the singer brand reputation rankings for April 2023.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 125,572,890 big data points on singer brands from March 22 to April 22, 2023, examining consumer brand engagement, media, communication, and community. Compared to the 121,696,380 big data points in March, there was a 3.19% increase.
The singer brand reputation index is an indicator analyzed by extracting big data of singer brands that are loved by consumers and conducting consumer behavior analysis to categorize participation value, communication value, media value, and community value. The analysis also includes sentiment ratio and reputation analysis algorithms. Through brand reputation analysis, it is possible to find out who, where, how, to what extent, and why people are talking about a brand.
The results for April 2023 singer brand reputation rankings were as follows: NewJeans, BTS, Lim Young-woong, BLACKPINK, IVE, FIFTY-FIFTY, IU, Lee Chan-won, Kim Ho-joong, SEVENTEEN, Lee Young-ji, Hi-Key, PSY, Yeong-tak, Jeong Dong-won, Le Serafim, Kang Daniel, Red Velvet, NCT, (G)I-DLE, Song Ga-in, Sung Si-kyung, TWICE, Jang Min-ho, Yoonha, EXO, Taeyeon, Girls' Generation, Kim Hee-jae, and aespa.
NewJeans, ranked first, had a brand reputation index of 9,184,363. This is a 10.23% increase from their March brand reputation index of 8,331,811. BTS ranked second with a brand reputation index of 8,788,308. Lim Young-woong's brand ranked third with a reputation index of 8,011,212. BLACKPINK came in fourth, and IVE ranked fifth.
Chang-Hwan Gu, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, explained, "NewJeans, consistently ranking high in advertising and music charts, took first place; BTS, which continues to set new records with individual member activities, came in second; and Lim Young-woong's brand, which has built a positive influence through its Phantom community, ranked third. BLACKPINK, which transitioned from global activities to solo activities, ranked fourth, while the IVE brand, which showcased attractive and kitschy music, ranked fifth."
