Veteran singer Hyunmi (real name Kim Myeong-seon) has passed away, and her niece, Noh Sa-yeon, will continue her scheduled filming despite her deep sorrow.

According to the police on the 4th, at around 9:37 am, a fan club president, Mr. Kim, found Hyunmi collapsed at her home in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and reported it to the police.

Hyunmi was transferred to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead. She was 85 years old.

Upon receiving the sudden news, her two sons, Lee Young-gon and Lee Young-jun, are reportedly on their way back to Korea from the United States. Her nephew and actor, Han Sang-jin, who is also in the U.S. for filming, is said to be checking flights to return home.

Hyunmi's niece and singer, Noh Sa-yeon, also received the sad news. Currently filming for the show "Saturday is for Home Cooking," Noh Sa-yeon plans to head to the funeral home as soon as the shooting is finished.

Despite her deep sorrow, Noh Sa-yeon will continue with her scheduled activities. According to an OSEN report on the 4th, Noh Sa-yeon will participate as planned in this week's JTBC current affairs and culture program "Salon House." "Salon House" is broadcast every Saturday morning at 8 am.

Hyunmi was a first-generation displaced singer who began her singing career on the US 8th Army stage in 1957. Her representative hit song, "Night Fog," was released in 1962, and she received much love for other songs such as "The Face I Want to See" and "Leave Without a Word."
