TV personality Ham Sowon has revealed that she has decided to divorce her husband Jin Hua, as she and her family can no longer cope with malicious comments.

On April 3rd, Ham Sowon uploaded a video on her YouTube channel 'HamsowonTV,' stating, "My family and I are now too exhausted. We have decided to divorce due to the indiscriminate attacks on our family by haters. We will take legal action against any further baseless attacks on our family and me."

In the video, Ham Sowon confessed, "I have no choice but to divorce. Please divorce me. Yes, I have begged my husband and my in-laws."

After leaving the TV Chosun show 'Taste of Wife' due to manipulation controversies, Ham Sowon shared her distress, "Not only me but also my father-in-law, mother-in-law, and three sisters-in-law have been attacked. My in-laws are most distressed by the damage to their precious son's reputation, which they have waited for seven long years. Articles are being published as if they are confirmed facts and have evidence, when in reality, they are based on unverified posts on Chinese blogs and Weibo."

She continued, "I had no choice but to tell my mother-in-law and father-in-law that I wanted a divorce. I feel that I have caused too much pain to my husband and his family, who have been raised so preciously, and I thought that if I disappeared, everything would be okay. I have repeatedly asked my husband and cried to my in-laws, thinking that letting my husband meet someone from a similar background and age would be my way of repaying the love he has given me and a final courtesy."

Ham Sowon also warned against spreading false rumors and malicious posts, "I have received the settlement money from those who have defamed my husband and family without any basis and fabricated lies as if they were truths. Even if I receive the settlement money and legally clear my name, the articles do not get taken down, and the reality of being attacked for believing false information as fact is still very difficult."

She further stated, "Please do not defame my husband, in-laws, and family without any basis. I will sue everyone and use the settlement money to help unfortunate children."

Ham Sowon has a daughter with her Chinese husband Jin Hua, who is 18 years younger than her. She admitted to the manipulation controversy on 'Taste of Wife' and left the show in April last year. However, she later explained, "Apart from special occasions such as childbirth, the shooting of 'Taste of Wife' is based on interviews with the writer about what happened during the week. I felt that by removing myself, I could alleviate the pain I had caused my husband and his family, who had been raised so dearly. I asked my husband repeatedly and continuously cried to my in-laws.
