The previous donation by Yoo Jae Suk is being utilized to supply women's hygiene items to teenagers in households with low incomes.
In April, Yoo Jae Suk donated 50 million won (about $41,560) to the G Foundation, an NGO assisting those in need within the nation or overseas. The G Foundation announced on July 23 that they were using charitable contributions to produce hygiene kits and were able to distribute it through forty-nine local children's institutions in Korea to 500 young people who need it most.
The kits contain objects, which teens are expected to sustain their feminine personal care products for six months, namely sanitary pads, girls cleaning products, compression packets and pouches, and also a note of encouraging words. (via Soompi)
Young people who received the kits thanked the G Foundation with replies of gratitude toward Yoo Jae Suk. The recipients conveyed that they felt being treated with dignity and expressed how the donation made them feel valued and respected as a woman, given that the products may not be expensive but a stressful thing to buy for a man.
"We thank Yoo Jae Suk genuinely for the aid he has given us for young people who are struggling with purchasing women's hygiene products. We would do our best to support young people who are in need." Park Choong Gwan, CEO of the G Foundation, said.
