The director of the upcoming film "Peninsula," continuation of "Train to Busan," recently met with the press to clarify the film's precise details in advance of the film release.

"Peninsula" is set four years after what happened in "Train to Busan." The story will revolve around a group of individuals remaining to fight and learning how to survive in a disastrous land.

Kang Dong Won portrays a former seafarer identified as Jung Suk, who comes back on a trip to Korea and finds refugees like the character of Lee Jung Hyun. They eventually wind up joining forces against the rabid zombies and evil people in a battle for life.

The movie is supposed to excite the film industry, which dropped into a recession following COVID-19's increasing prevalence. Yeon Sang-Ho announced he never held back the movie's release deadline.

Attempting to explain the launch was always scheduled for July. He commented, "I believe this film represents the start of the movie industry's revival." As a continuation to "Train to Busan," the movie is supposed to use zombies to entertain its spectators.

Yeon Sang-Ho explained the role of zombies in the movie, stating, "Peninsula zombies aren't quite as dangerous. If I believe Jung Suk and the viewers are of the same viewpoint, and when he comes back to South Korea, they can experience some eerie discomfort because the zombies have their very own tale in 'Train to Busan.'"

Yeon Sang-Ho had nothing but appreciation for the movie's cast, implying both of the stars were utterly engaged in their roles during the filming.

He admired Kang Dong Won, stating, "He is an artist who understands how to get the impression that he foresees. He very well conveyed his role 's feelings, and he also instantly knew what to do while shooting his action sequences. He was extremely easy to work with."

The director also praised Lee Jung Hyun as he said, "She's like Kang Dong Won because she understands what to do, too. She recognizes where the camera will go while shooting, so she quickly flips a switch when it's about to shoot an action sequence, and switches modes. This shocked me."

Yeon Sang-Ho did not forget to encourage the viewers by saying, "If you go to the cinema for the first time in a while, 'Peninsula' is bound to be a fun film to watch and enjoy with your close friends, kids, or parents."

"I hope this movie will be a large and powerful box office success, as the start of a huge victory," he concluded.

"Peninsula" is set to be released in South Korea on July 15.
