Netizens Enraged At The Journalist That Who Said 'There Would Be No BTS Without Lee Soo Man'
A journalist from The Hankyoreh faces netizens' rage and most especially the ARMYs after the outlet published an intriguing article.
Journalist versus the netizens
In an Allkpop report, the said article made its way to the publication on December 22 (Tuesday), in which the journalist claimed, "There would be no BTS without Lee Soo Man."
Despite the positive writings made by the journalist to BTS on the article, Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment, is behind the success of the world's most phenomenal K-pop group.
The article highlighted that BTS is one of the personalities that made K-pop become a global influence, but Lee Soo Man is the forefather of K-pop. The journalist further wrote that the SM Entertainment founder laid the foundation of the world-renowned K-pop industry, and he deserves to be credited for that matter.
Lee Soo Man was claimed to possess a history of doubts about his works and struggled against the people's prejudice for many years.
The article's conclusion stated that BTS would be nothing without Lee Soo Man since he is the person behind K-pop. Moreover, the article covers Lee Soo Man's works and the chaos and struggles faced by the agency during its early years in the business.
Netizens reacted negatively towards the article
Lee Soo Man is indeed the founder of SM Entertainment and has done great works for the Korean music industry. He made the first idol trainees back in 1996, but netizens could not help but enrage over the journalist's inconsiderate words.
A netizen commented on Naver, saying, "Why don't you sell the bulletproof name and put a spoon on it."
The article earned various negative criticisms in just hours, including curse words and bash from the netizens. On the other hand, the ARMYs were not delighted with the journalist's perspective, as it is a despise to the group.
