EXO's Kai Holds Press Conference For Latest Solo-Album 'KAI'
EXO's Kai finally shared some remarks on his much anticipated solo debut through an official press conference. Fans are getting hyped as they wait for the official launch of his 'KAI' album released at 6:00 p.m. KST.
On November 30, Monday, EXO's Kai has conducted a press conference hours before the official drop of his latest solo-album 'KAI.' The upcoming album will consist of six tracks with an opening track titled, 'Mmmh.'
Kai's fellow co-member Baekhyun was appointed as the official MC for the press conference. Concerning Kai's official debut with an album as a solo artist after eight years, the young K-pop idol admitted that he felt nervous and excited for this day.
Furthermore, despite having experienced performing on big domes with thousands of fans watching every performance, Kai still felt nervous and at the same time excited for his solo album. Kai added that with Baekhyun winning the title of 'million-seller,' he is indeed proud of him and managed to gain inspiration through his achievement.
Kai is known for having the 'teleportation' power in EXO, so he added that it had been included in his solo album. Aside from thorough styling, Baekhyun described that Kai's music video for his solo-album embodies his true nature as an artist.
Regarding his opening track, 'Mmmh,' Kai expressed that his title track means 'to open.' The young EXO member revealed that he hoped to open the public's hearts through his music; furthermore, Kai intends to showcase his genuine nature as an individual himself aside from being an artist in the K-pop scene.
Moreover, Kai admitted to asking for help and advice from his peers in the music industry. 'Taemin was the first to promote as a solo artist, he offered me tons of advice about how do I do certain things and where to divert my attention more,' Kai added.
Kai then expressed his profound gratitude to his fans for supporting him since he debuted that he is establishing his name as a solo artist, and for the release of his solo album. Kai asks his fans to look forward to his newest album and for his future projects.
'Mmmh' from 'KAI' is dropped this day, November 30, at 6:00 p.m KST.
