All Eight Tracks In BLACKPINK's 'The Album' Debut At Top 25 On Spotify's Daily Global Top 50
The first full-length album of BLACKPINK titled "THE ALBUM" entered Spotify with a resounding success!
The YG Entertainment, on October 5, revealed that all eight tracks on the full album of BLACKPINK debuted within the top 25 on Spotify's daily Global Top 50.
The Easy Hit
On the day of its release, October 2, The album's title track "Lovesick Girls" ranked No. 3 on the Global Top 50 chart. Debuting at No. 4 is "Bet You Wanna" featuring Cardi B, while "Pretty Savage" at No. 8, and "Ice Cream" at No. 10. Enjoying in No. 17 is "Crazy Over You," No. 18 is "Love To Hate Me," "No. 19 is How You Like That," and at No. 25 is "You Never Know." All four songs ranked high on the chart as well.
'Lovesick Girls' Surpasses 'How You Like That' And 'Ice Cream'
BLACKPINK's pre-release single "How You Like That" in June became the highest-ranking debut for a song by a girl group as it debuted at No. 5 on the chart. The track also became the longest-charting k-pop song on the Global 50 chart in Spotify history with 52 days defeating BTS's "Boy With Luv ft. Halsey" at the time which recorded 50 days.
Their single "Ice Cream" in August broke the record at No. 4. And at No. 3, the group's highest-ranking girl group debut is now "Lovesick Girls."
Furthermore, "Ice Cream" remains BLACKPINK's biggest debut on the chart in terms of stream numbers, with total streams of 5,060,036 on the first day.
BLACKPINK To Guest In 'Ask Us Anything'
OSEN reported on October 5 that BLACKPINK would be returning to "Ask us Anything" for another guest appearance. The quartet was scheduled to make a full-group appearance on the show. According to a source from JTBC, BLACKPINK will be participating in the 'Ask Us Anything' recording on October 8, and their episode will air on October 17.
It was in August 2017 that BLACKPINK made an appearance on the show. There, they thrilled the fans and viewers with their with and charms.
