BTS Unveils What Mindset An Idol Needs To Have To Survive In The Industry
BTS is known to be one of the most successful K-pop groups in today's mainstream media. However, the journey has not been easy for the boys and reveals some pointers to survive in the music industry.
The "BTS: Burn the Stage" Youtube Original series pears open to some of the group members' stress and burdens.
On one episode of the Youtube Original, group member V revealed that he is always careful of his actions when he is in public. "I either have a black expression or a smile. I can't do anything else besides that", said V. He also visualizes in his mind whenever he makes a mistake in public.
V's statement has been an eye-opener for many people who want to become a K-pop idol as it offers more stress than emancipation, as he is also in a lot of self-worry and is always mindful of his surroundings.
On the other hand, BTS leader RM, also reveals that the comfort of being in a room or hotel does not necessarily provide a stress-free environment. The Rap Monster shared that whether when the group releases new material, they will avoid the internet due to being worried that people may say negative things and would have hurt them deeply.
The confession proves that being a K-pop idol in the music industry, such as BTS, has disadvantages because as they are exposed to criticisms from people who do not know what BTS goes through in days of preparations.
In the past, BTS had exposed their sympathy and emotions publicly several times to when the group won their first MAMA Artist of the Year award in 2018.
Upon receiving the award, the boy band gave a tearful speech at the award ceremony and revealed that they nearly decided to disband due to the continued stress the group has been going through.
However, being as strong and mentally-prepared as they are, they managed to push through the challenges head-on and persevere. Now, they have become one of the most well-known K-pop artists from South Korea, debuting on the Billboard Top 100 at the number one spot for their hit single "Dynamite."
