BTS J-Hope’s Mixtape ‘Hope World’ Tops iTunes Charts + Jin Recommends J-Hope For Samsung Commercial
BTS J-Hope's solo mixtape "Hope World" has recently topped iTunes Charts in 100 countries all over the world!
J-Hope is the second member of the boy band to reach number one in 100 countries after BTS RM's solo mixtape titled Mono. "Hope World" debuted back in 2018 and ranked 38 on the Billboard 200 chart and was available on Soundcloud.
Although the mixtape was released on the online platform Soundcloud, it continued to be popular among fans until it became known in the mainstream music platforms such as iTunes and the Billboard chart. Correspondingly, J-Hope became the first Korean artist to stay in the chart for two consecutive weeks.
With this news, ARMYs stormed on social media to congratulate J-Hope with the hashtag #HopeWorld100thWin to celebrate the news.
In other related news, BTS Jin and Jungkook were chosen as ambassadors for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and filmed a commercial for the flagship phone. In a comment on Weverse, Jin revealed that he tried to recommend J-Hope to take his place for the Samsung commercial.
Moreover, BTS Jin wrote that he only became aware that he and Jungjoook would be dancing once they arrived on the commercial set. After seeing the Samsung commercial's choreography, he recommended J-Hope to be in the shot because J-Hope is the main dancer of the boy group BTS.
According to Jin, his request was turned down by the shot producers and pushed him to be in the clip as planned. Jin stated, "This is the day we went to shoot the commercial - and out of the blue, they showed us the dance and asked us to try. So I was like, "Um….This might be best for J-Hope", but then got turned down."
However, ARMYs get to see a "Jinkook" performance in a commercial for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 flagship phone.
