BTS Suga Wins Best Male Rapper In Dabeme Pop
BTS member Suga has multiple accolades in his repertoire, and one of them is the recent Best Male Rapper Award in the Dabeme Pop's poll!
BTS Suga, a songwriter, producer, and one of the group's rappers, has been chosen to be the winner of Dabeme Pop's "Dabeme Best Male Rapper" poll. The rapper was against 14 other rappers, to which he won the competition.
Suga, who is acknowledged for his talent in producing songs and recognized by the public with songs he made with artists like IU, Suran, and Heize, is also a skilled rapper whose tracks discuss matters like his personal struggles, depression, fame, and social phobia. Suga is, without a doubt, a successful idol in Korea.
This year, Suga had worked and produced multiple singles that became the most viewed music video for a solo artist such as "Daechwita" from his latest mixtape "D-2," which topped in the iTunes Song Chart in 101 countries. Suga also produced "Eight," which was co-written with IU, and "Shadow," which is a song included in BTS' album "Map of Soul: 7."
Suga is one of the rappers in BTS and joined the group since its debut in 2010 under Big Hit Entertainment. The rapper has proven that he is a vital component to the group as he is the core person who produces some of the boy band's songs in the years.
Outside of BTS, Suga is also known as AGUST D, which came to be because the first four letters are his name backward with the "TD" representing his birthplace, Daegu Town. Under the AGUST D moniker, the rapper released a mixtape with eight songs with his self-titled track garnering 70 million views on Youtube.
Although Suga has other projects, he is still a reliable member of BTS, participating in songs such as "Idol," "DNA," "Boy with Luv," and their latest single "Dynamite."
