BLACKPINK has broken another record!

BLACKPINK has now surpassed Eminem's Youtube subscribers, which means that BLACKPINK has broken another record. The girl group now has 44,000,000 Youtube subscribers. They are also the top female artist and ranks 4th in the overall artist category on Youtube globally.

On August 16, BLACKPINK's official Youtube channel run by their company label, YG Entertainment, has reached 44,000,000 subscribers in the morning. The girls' achievement put them above some of the famous names on Youtube, including Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and even the English boy group, One Direction.

Ahead of BLACKPINK in the ranks are Ed Sheeran, Marshmello, and Justin Bieber.

Here is the list of the most subscribed artist's channels on youtube.

  2. Marshmello – 47 million subscribers
  3. Ed Sheeran – 45 million subscribers

  8. Katy Perry – 37 million subscribers

This record was not first for the group, but they are the first K-Pop group to reach this record in the female artists' category. What makes it more exciting is the girl group is still in their fourth year in the industry comparing to Eminem, which they just surpassed, who is in his 23rd year in the business. The achievement proves that the group has potential in their substantial success and ever-growing popularity.

On the other hand, the collaboration between BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez is fast approaching. This August 28 will be the release of their single, and the release will be ahead of their new album BLACKPINK: The Album that is set to be released on October 2.

However, the title of the song is still a mystery. Selena Gomez posted on her Instagram account a photo of SelPink that has now reached 2.9 million likes.
