Choi Jin Hyuk Is A Fashionista Zombie While Park Ju Hyun Is A Carefree Mortal In ‘Zombie Detective’
KBS 2TV’s “Zombie Detective” has released another teaser photo!
“Zombie Detective,” per Soompi, is a thriller comedy following a zombie who becomes a detective on his second year of resurrection and desperately searches for his past.
Choi Jin Hyuk will be tarring as Kim Moo Young, a titular zombie detective who struggles to adapt to his new life as he is co-existing with humans. While playing the role of Gong Seon Ji is Park Ju Hyun, a writer for an investigative journalism program.
The much-anticipated drama released a poster on August 17, highlighting the stark contrast in the personality between the two leads. Grabbing a flashlight in one hand, Gong Seon Ji seems to be eagerly investigating a crime scene with a fierce look, which hints her unrivaled determination and tenacity when it comes to justice her job.
On the other hand, Kim Moo Young appears noticeably calmer than the human Gong Seon Ji as he sits quietly on a desk as he prepares to break any preconceived notions about zombies. The poster’s captions also hint to viewers that Kim Moo Young, as a zombie, has a not-so-scary personality, with Gong Seon Ji asking, “There is a zombie in our eventful neighborhood,” and Kim Moo Young replied, “That’s me… hehe.”
The duo, in their unlikely portrayals, breaks stereotypes in many ways. Gong Seon Ji is not only more robust and more fearless than any zombie but Kim Moo Young, on the other hand, is also better-dressed than his human partner hilariously.
And while the zombie seems to cover a magazine sporting a chic trenchcoat over collared trousers and shirt, Gong Seon Ji, who’s not particular with fashion and what she wears, is dressed in casual sweats.
“Zombie Detective” will reveal a new version of partnership as they unravel mysteries on August 31, at 9:30 KST.
