TREASURE's Bang Ye Dam has released a lonesome moving teaser for his solo debut single, "WAYO"!

Bang Ye Dam's upcoming single is set to be released this June 5 at 6 PM KST as a pre-release project ahead of TREASURE’s debut in July.

In order to cheer on Bang Ye Dam's solo single release, his fellow YG Entertainment sunbae artists WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon and AKMU's Chanhyuk participated in composing and writing the lyrics for "WAYO", Allkpop reported.

Ahead of the scheduled release of the track, BIGBANG’s Taeyang uploaded his own cover of ‘WAYO’ on his official Instagram account, helping out his junior in promoting the song.

Bang Ye-dam is a South Korean singer and member of boy group TREASURE under YG Entertainment. TREASURE is an upcoming 12-member boy set to debut in July 2020.

TREASURE was formed through a survival show called ‘YG Treasure Box’. The show began airing on November 18 and ended on January 18, 2019.

The new boy group was originally scheduled to debut sometime between May and July 2019 but it was postponed after YG Entertainment founder and producer Yang Hyun Suk stepped down from the company following as series of scandals surrounding the company.

On January 6, YG Entertainment posted a notice on their official website stating the group's future plans, including their debut this July.

The group will hold various unit and solo activities prior to their debut. It was reported that YG Entertainment will encourage and support the members to actively participate into the composing and writing of music.

On May 21, YGE released the following statement regarding Bang Ye Dam’s solo debut:

“We’ve been preparing Yedam’s solo music before TREASURE was formed” and added, “We’ve decided that it would be a good decision to release a song that was completed in June, prior to TREASURE’s debut, as a surprise gift for the fans.”

YGE also added, “TREASURE is planning to release new songs 3~4 times until the end of the year, after making debut in July.”

Bang Ye Dam’s upcoming solo single is expected to raise the global music fans’ expectations on TREASURE’s debut in July.
