'Twenty Twenty' Casts Reveal How Similar They Are In Their Drama Characters + Share Reasons Why They Accepted The Project
The "Twenty Twenty" cast talked about what to look out for ahead of their drama's premiere and shared their reasons for joining the show.
UP10TION's Kim Woo Seok, Hang Sung Min, A.C.E's Chan, Jin Ho Eun, Park Sang Nam, Chae Won Bin, and director Han Su Ji, on August 12 at and online press, shared their thoughts about their upcoming drama "Twenty Twenty."
Per Soompi, the Playlist Studio drama is about a group in their prime years who tries to reach their dreams as they experience freedom and responsibilities for the first time.
Playing the role of Chae Dae is Hang Sung Min. He is a character who grew up under the care of her single mother. Kim Woo Sook will take the role of Lee Hyun Jin, who's having internal scars begins to change after meeting Chae Da Hee. While playing the popular Jung Ha Joon is Park Sang Nam, a character with a big hidden secret.
Playing the role of Son Bo Hyun is A.C.E's Chan, a bright and energetic friend of Lee Hyun Jin. Chae Won Bin will take the stubborn but thoughtful Baek Ye Eun part. Meanwhile, Hin Ho Eun will be playing the character who can be tactless but loves his younger friends named Kang Dae Geun.
Director Han Su Ji shared why he pursued "Twenty Twenty" and said that that she did a lot of thinking after the "A-TEEN" series ended. She continued, "I wanted to tell a story beyond drama at school. Then I found a comment that read, 'I'm enjoying the drama because it seems like I'm growing up with them' and realized that I have to tell a story about the worries of a 20-year-old."
Hang Sung Min shared that she received the drama thinking that it would become an opportunity to reminisce her life back in her 20s. "I wanted to take the drama."
Making their acting debut through "Twenty Twenty" are Chan And Kim Woo Seok. Admitting that he spent a lot of time thinking whether to join the drama or not, Kim Woo Seok shared that he was curious about what would happen next in the story after he read the script. And he considered it very appealing.
Chan commented that his character is very similar to his role. The A.C.E members even told him that the title role is the real him; that is why he wanted to do better.
Park Sang Nam, on the other hand, shared that she realized how amazing their director and writer are after she read the script. She said that she wanted to take the drama after seeing how they brought every character to life.
Moreover, Han Su Ji talked about the similarities of his co-actors with their characters. She said that while discussing as she wrote the project proposal for the first time, she created a picture of the characters. "I was so happy that the actors who became the drama cast became similar to what he thought of."
She elaborated that the similarities between the actors and their characters are essential, so she emphasized that while they were reading the script. She expressed that she trusted them more after seeing that they are similar to their roles.
